Plans
Free to look. Pay only for the readings.
Looking is free for everyone, with no account and no limit: search any address, list every dated photo of it, swipe between two of them, run the seven checks and download both images, as often as you like. A plan covers the rest: the readings, the movies and the PDF report.

Desk and Newsroom
The satellite shows the roof. Your own photo shows the doorway, the crater, the fence, the crowd. This option puts the two next to each other: your photograph on one side, the dated satellite capture of that same spot on the other, with the days between them written under the frame.
One condition, and it is the whole design: the photo has to know where it was taken. A picture without a place cannot be compared with a place. There are two ways to give it one.
Straight from the camera roll
A phone photo taken with location on carries the coordinates, the day and the time inside the file. We read them, drop the pin, and pick the satellite capture nearest that date.
If the file also carries the compass direction, the marker shows which way the camera was pointing.
You place it yourself
Anything that travelled through WhatsApp, Signal, Facebook or X arrives stripped: those platforms delete the location on upload. Screenshots and scans never had one.
Then you drop the pin on the map and type the date. The comparison is marked placed by hand, because that coordinate is your claim, not the file's.
Check a photo before you buy anything
This runs in your own browser and needs no account. Nothing is uploaded, and no plan is touched: it only reads what is already inside the file, so you can see whether your photos carry a location at all.
What you get with the pair
- Your photo beside the satellite capture, in swipe, side by side or fade, as with any other comparison.
- The gap in days between your photo and that capture, written on the frame, so nobody reads the pair as simultaneous.
- The camera position as a marker, and its direction when the file carries one.
- The reading, the movie and the PDF report, the same as for two satellite photos.
- Your photo in the saved comparison, kept on your account, deleted when you delete the comparison.
What we will not pretend
A coordinate in a file is a claim, not proof. It can be edited in seconds, a phone without a clear sky writes down a guess, and an old photo can carry the location of the place it was copied on. Treat a placed photo as a lead you then verify against the ground: the shadow, the horizon, the buildings behind it.
A photo is not evidence of a date either. The timestamp is the camera's clock, which drifts, travels across time zones and can be set by hand. We show the gap in days precisely so that the two things stay apart.
What happens to your file. Reading the location happens in this browser. Only when you save a comparison does the photo travel to your account, where it stays private to your plan and goes when you delete it. We never publish your photo, and we do not train anything on it.

How the counting works
- The readings are one pool for the whole account, not a number per person. A desk of eighty people shares the same five hundred a month.
- A reading someone already ran is served from the cache and costs nothing, so repeats and shared links never pay twice.
- Every paid plan does the same things; the numbers are what differ. A bigger plan never takes anything away.
- Making a movie needs a reading, and on a paid plan it never costs anything extra.
- When the month is used up, only the reading and the movie stop. Searching, the dates, the swipe, the checks and the downloads keep working, exactly as before.
- The month resets on the first day, and every plan is monthly: cancel any time, in your own billing page.
Newsroom, in your own style
Your colours, your typeface and your logo on the opening and closing card of every film, set once for the account, cut for web or for TV. Publish those films wherever you like, in print, on air, in a documentary or a client report, for as long as you like, with no further payment to us.
Two limits stay, and they are the honest ones. The satellite imagery belongs to Esri and Maxar, not to us: we grant everything we make, but not the pixels, so anything beyond reporting should be licensed from the provider. And both credit lines stay on the frame, yours and the imagery source.
Enterprise, API and anything bigger
Bulk work, a private instance, a licence for a platform, or a plan that does not fit the four above. Tell us what you need and Henk answers himself, usually within a day or two.
Prices in euro, VAT added where it applies. Payment runs through Stripe; we never see your card. Every download, movie and report carries the line "Another OSINT tool by Henk van Ess, www.digitaldigging.org".
